How To Look & Feel 10 Years Younger!

Would you like to look and feel 10 years younger? Would you like to become more mentally clearer and sharper? Would you like to have more energy and vitality than you have ever had in your life before? Would you like your skin to become more clear and supple? How much more effective and successful would you be in your life if you only needed 5 to 6 hours of sleep every night and felt energized and energetic all day long? In this article I am going to share with you several simple things you can add to your diet to dramatically improve your health, mental clarity, overall sense of happiness and well-being, energy levels, etc.

Before making any changes to your diet and exercise routine, you should check with your doctor first. What I am going to share I have learned from the world’s most cutting edge doctors and health experts. I’ve been applying these principles in my own life for about a decade now. I lost 40 pounds. I have more energy now than when I was 20 years younger. I no longer get colds or the flu 2 to 3 times a year like I used to. My skin is soft and supple. I no longer am constipated (I only used to drop a deuce every 2 to 3 days) and have multiple bowel movements on a daily basis. Being constipated is totally unpleasant and I spent almost 30 years of my life dealing with it! My eyesight has improved. I no longer get skin rashes. I no longer suffer from allergies or hayfever.

If you are a regular reader of my articles then you know I talk about health often. Proper diet and exercise should be every human being’s number one priority in their lives. Why? Because if you do not have your health and suffer from dis-ease, it makes it pretty hard to focus on your work and enjoy your life if you are constantly dealing with unpleasant symptoms. If you are interested in being at your best personally, making some simple changes or additions to your diet will be a game changer for you.

Becoming healthier than you are now is a process. Here’s what I know about helping people become healthier in their own lives. Most human beings don’t like making big changes in their lives. Helping people make better choices in what they consume, drink and how they exercise is a slow process. You really have to take baby steps and do it gradually. If you have read Dr. Robert O. Young’s book “The Ph Miracle” I am sure it probably overwhelmed you like it did me the first time I read it. It’s shocking and stunning information. For a lot of people, their health problems, medications and symptoms are part of their personal story. People who have spent decades of their lives dealing with symptoms of dis-ease will throw out platitude excuses of why they can’t make changes such as: “I don’t like the way it tastes… I can’t because of my diabetes… my elbow… my bad knee… I don’t have enough money… I have a bad back… I don’t have the time… I’m so busy… it won’t work for me… etc.” You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

People who are addicted to their stories and excuses of why their lives are the way they are, are unable and unwilling to do anything to help themselves. I look at my own family and close friends and how many years I have been beating them over the head to take better care of themselves and implement the same healthy principles in their own lives. You must participate in your own rescue. If you have health symptoms and health problems, you must take responsibility for getting yourself better. Doctors, life coaches, nutritionists, chiropractors, etc. can only gently lead you and advise you on what to do. It is up to you to do the work, make the changes you need to make and be consistent about it.

Our bodies are acid by function and alkaline by design. Our body’s cells, organs and systems produce acidic metabolic wastes as a byproduct of their proper functioning. If you want your body to be healthy, you must ingest more alkaline fluids and foods than acidic ones. Ideally 80% of your diet should be alkaline. Only 20% of your diet should be acid. Alkaline foods and liquids are: alkaline and ionized water, spinach, collard greens, broccoli, celery, parsley, kale, avocados, wheat grass, almonds, carrots, cucumbers, squash, etc. Acid foods and liquids are: alcohol, drugs, medications, chicken, pork, steak, hamburger, potatoes, rice, beans, walnuts, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, fruit, sugar, soft drinks/sodas, refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, fruit juice, orange juice, bread, processed foods, candy, fish, etc.

So the simple solution to start looking and feeling 10 years younger is to eat more alkaline foods and less acidic foods. Sugar and refined sugar along with high fructose corn syrup are extremely poisonous and toxic to your body. Meats such as steak, pork, venison and other red meats are a lot more acidic and harder for your body to digest than fish, turkey or chicken. I have found that it is better to cut back on acidic foods than to try to never eat them again. Why? Denying yourself these foods completely, usually leads to eventually going back to your old habits. That’s not good either. So everything that is acidic should be in moderation. Ideally you want to eat healthy 80% of the time, and 20% of the time you can eat whatever you want. If you eat a hamburger or red meat all the time, eat more fish, chicken or turkey instead. Make a hamburger or a steak a special treat instead of your daily diet. If you simply cut out eating red meat, pork and fried foods for only 30 days you will feel different and have more energy. That is the great thing about these principles. The more you implement them, the more you will literally feel the difference in your skin and your overall sense of well-being will improve.

Maybe you eat healthy during the week, and on the weekends… it’s party time! Dr. Robert O. Young likes to say, “alkalize and energize your body.” Take baby steps. Cut back on your daily intake of acid forming foods and increase your intake of raw alkaline vegetables and water. Most people are dehydrated. You should drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of water every day. So if you weigh 150 pounds, you should drink about 75 ounces of water every day. As a matter of fact, if you feel really tired right now, you are probably dehydrated. When you start to feel better as you eat more alkaline foods and fluids, it gives you the confidence to do more of it which makes you feel even better! The journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. That’s something to think about!
